"Health Information": Many experts in medical have been trying hard to get the solution to lower bad cholesterol.They have been doing experiments looking for the solution to lower cholesterol, specially for the post menopausal women. This is because Post menopausal women have some health concerns, not the least of which is the need to lower cholesterol. Recent studies of the cholesterol levels in older women seem to indicate that cholesterol is lowered slightly for some older women who undergo Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Unfortunately, still the incidence of heart disease is not as greatly affected – at least not the way they would like.

The specific study examining postmenopausal women, called the Heart and Estrogen/Progestin Replacement Study (HERS), was conducted by the National Heart and Lung Institute. It found that the women on HRT had a “modest” drop in the Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) or bad cholesterol. It also raised the High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol which is the good cholesterol. Both raising HDL and lowering LDL cholesterol are important in lowering overall blood cholesterol levels to the desirable range of under 200 mg/dl.

Because of the other results of the study the conclusion was that HRT should not be used as a means to lower cholesterol. The negative results far outweighed the benefits of lower cholesterol for these women. More women in the HRT group, for example, had more blood clots, gallbladder disease, and in the first year, more cases of heart disease. By the fourth and fifth years of the study, however, the number of incidences of heart disease dropped for the women on HRT.

Anyone at any age can lower cholesterol without drugs, hormones, or drastic diets. A well balanced and enjoyable diet that allows for some indulgences in moderation is enough to lower cholesterol without prescription drugs. Most people today are aware of their cholesterol readings and have the choice for lowering cholesterol or face one of these serious and invasive procedures.

Angioplasty is a process of expanding the arteries, generally those surrounding the heart so that the blood can freely flow once again. This is done to prevent a complete closing of the artery which would lead to a potentially fatal heart attack. The arteries are expanded by inserting a balloon like device into the blood vessel and then “blowing” it up. This stretches the artery and keeps it open. The elasticity of the artery may not support doing this procedure more than a few times.

There are other devices that can be used for lowering cholesterol surgically. These scrape or cut away at cholesterol build up within the arteries. A laser that was first used in 1992 can be used to “melt” away excess plaque. This dissolves the low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL) in a way that if there were enough time, the good high density lipoprotein (HDL) might be able to the job well enough itself. That is why it is important to have enough HDL to manage LDL.

To avoid the need for surgical intervention, cholesterol can be managed and lowered in much less traumatic ways. The first course of action should be to have your cholesterol checked and monitored annually. If it appears to be high, a low cholesterol and low fat diet should be top priority. This should be combined with an extensive exercise program that strengthens the heart and naturally raises HDL cholesterol.

When there is not the proper balance or LDL is just too high, then the arteries can become clogged with excess cholesterol and result is a condition where the arteries become hardened called atherosclerosis.

Scientists have long known that HDL does a good job of cleansing the arteries from the waxy buildup of too much LDL cholesterol in the blood. All cholesterol is linked with apolipoprotein, a molecule that carries the cholesterol through the body. HDL cholesterol has a form of Apo with it that is the ApoAl molecule. It is this molecule that makes HDL the great cleanser.

In human studies, injecting people who have high cholesterol and especially low levels of HDL, with ApoAl Milano the results were amazing. In just five weeks the participants were able to completely flush their arteries of the plaque buildup. The discovery that led to the research happened in the late 1970s when an Italian man with high blood fat, low HDL and high LDL still had clean arteries. After studying his close relatives and finding the same was true, doctors discovered a mutant form of ApoAl and dubbed it ApoAl Milano.

The next step to understanding how ApoAl works is to see if all versions of the molecule will be just as effective and the Milano variety. Early research indicates it may be, because of the positive response in animal studies.

Most people are not as genetically fortunate as to be able to maintain high levels of LDL and low HDL cholesterol and not have it negatively impact their arteries.

It has been a few years since I felt the need to peruse any resource material for helping me find the right people. In a previous career I had hired and managed between 80 and 100 people at a time. But I thought I might want to brush up on what changes have transpired over the last 15 years and I couldn't believe what I learned from this book. I picked it at random from the endless supply of other choices and I was very glad I did.

These two writers hit upon everything that I thought I knew and opened my eyes to the changes that I was not aware of. To be honest, I wasn't planning on reading the entire book but thought I would hit upon the "highlights." I actually thought I knew enough to skim it but little did I realize, I knew very little. And even though I don't run a large office like I used to, I found the book to be an easy read and will keep it on the shelf as a resource guide. I tend to bend the pages of my books for the passages that I know I will refer to in the future and this book looks like I have had it for years with the bent corners. I don't think I will find it necessary to look beyond this guide in the future. My hats off to these two writers who very much know their subject and will be "indispensible" to me.

I was able to successfully negotiate every other aspect that was important to me, with great gratitude to Lily. I have no doubt that without Lily I would have either been unable to accept the position or would have accepted it with far lower pay, less vacation time, and less coverage of student loans and moving expenses. I was told by our HR people (once I started the job and got to know them through hiring other people) that I was the toughest negotiator they had encountered. I didn't ask for help from Lily in getting the job as I already had an offer when I contacted her, however I'm confident that her knowledge would apply to getting the job as well. Satin Chiffon Prom Dress Gown Crystals Knee-Length

World Mining News:Gold exploration project for Trundle

The Parkes Shire may be in for another mining boom following the announcement of an exploratry project at a property near Trundle.

Robert Brown, President and CEO of Calibre Mining Corporation announced this week that the Canadian company has initiated a 7-hole 3,700 metre diamond drill program.

The Trundle property is a 78-square kilometre tenement immediately adjacent to the township.

A mine near Turndle would add to the Northparkes copper-gold district that has produced 864,500 ounces of gold and 616,400 tonnes of copper.

Calibre is earning a 70 per cent interest in the Trundle tenement from Western Plains Resources Ltd by completing exploration expenditures totalling AU$3 million over a three-year period with a minimum work commitment of $600,000 in the first year.

Calibre can earn an additional 20per cent interest in the project by completing a Feasibility Report.

Trundle contains widespread evidence of porphyry and skarn-style copper-gold mineralisation associated with several discrete intrusive centers.

Historical shallow rotary air blast and air core drilling on four of these centres confirmed the presence of copper and gold mineralisation coincident with skarn and porphyry-style alteration and airborne magnetic highs.

GOS Drilling of Cobar has been contracted to carry out a 3,700 metre diamond drilling program.

The program focuses on the northern targets of Mordialloc, Bloomfields and Yarrabandai and is designed to test targets at depth (greater than 500m) for high grade porphyry Cu-Au mineralisation.

Not many people have heard of the village of Clontibret, tucked away amid the rolling hills of Ireland’s County Monaghan.

Its biggest claim to fame - albeit from about 400 years ago - is that it was one of the few places to repel the forces of Elizabeth I during the conquest of Ireland in the 16th century.

But for the village population of just over 300, that is all about to change.

Yesterday a mining company announced that Clontibret is to become Ireland’s Klondyke after a major gold find in the area that could be the largest anywhere in the British Isles.

Conroy Diamonds and Gold issued a formal announcement to the London Stock Exchange that an area just outside the village has more than 1m ounces of gold.

With precious metal prices soaring in these times of global economic instability, the exploration company estimated that the gold deposits could be worth up to £450m.

Professor Richard Conroy, the chairman of Conroy Diamonds and Gold, said: “There’s never been a gold mine anywhere near this size in Ireland and the UK.”

The declaration is expected to attract interest from major international players in the industry and raise hopes in the historically deprived border region of a modern-day gold rush that could restore its fortunes.

The rising price of gold in recent years - presently around £450 an ounce - has seen Scotland’s Cononish mine, near the village of Tyndrum, reopen after having lain dormant for years.

Conroy Diamonds and Gold, which has launched a study into the economic viability of mining the gold, said the deposits in County Monaghan were at least four times the amount in the Scottish mine. “We know there is a lot of gold in the area, but we still have to … determine how economic it is going to be to mine it,” said the chairman. It has been estimated that further excavation could increase the existing indicated resources of 440,000 ounces and additional inferred resource of 590,000 ounces.

Although the grade of the gold in County Monaghan is low by world standards, the size of the find and the surging prices of the metal mean it could still be hugely profitable.

Today’s mining news on Oil drilling off the North Carolina coast: A good way to cut prices or a rig to nowhere? According to Triangle Business Journal readers, it depends on who you ask.

From July 23 through July 29, visitors to TBJ’s Web site were asked to answer the poll question: “Would drilling for oil off the North Carolina coast help reduce gas prices?”

We asked the question because the issue has been in the news recently. Republicans including President Bush and presidential candidate John McCain say they favor offshore oil drilling, which is currently banned by federal law, because it would increase supply and thus lower prices. Democratic candidate Barack Obama doesn’t favor a switch, saying that offshore drilling is a bait-and-switch that would have no immediate impact.

On the flip side, 33 percent of respondents say drilling wouldn’t help at all. The remaining 11 percent of voters picked the option, “It doesn’t matter. We shouldn’t drill.”

Adding supply helps meet demand and lowers the price point on the graph. It doesn’t matter if it takes a while to make a difference; if we don’t add supply we will only face higher prices down the, ahem, road as the developing world continues to increase their usage.
Continuing to drill for oil is not the solution to the energy crisis facing this country. Money should be poured into to finding alternative sources of “clean” power/energy to meet our future needs. I don’t believe there is one solution, and much of the economy will still need to run on oil, but we must find other ways to meet our needs. Continuing to drill for oil is yesterday’s solution.
I think anything we do to show that we can produce our own oil will stop a lot of the speculation and increased pricing from other nations that we are dependent on.
The risks to the environment and the forestalling of the urgent need to move to a non-carbon-based economy are not worth it, even if drilling off the coast would make a difference.
It’s really not going to help that much on its own. Drilling should be allowed everywhere off the U.S. coast and in Alaska to help reduce our dependence on foreign oil while we develop other energy alternatives.
In the long term, sure, it would help. But only in the long term. And only a little bit. Why risk the coastline – hurting not just the environment but the long-term economy – for short-lived, de minimis gains?
Even Bush states that we are oil addicts. We want an easier answer with no pain. Sorry, folks, we should have thought about that 30 years ago but we chose our materialistic, greedy lifestyle over a long-term energy solution. We still have a chance but it is to move forward with a “Manhattan” like project to build electric motors for our cars and nuclear plants for our major power source.

* The original N95 (a.k.a. N95-1, a.k.a. RM-159) targeted mainly the European and Asian markets; while it had quad-band GSM (2G) support for use in nearly every country, including the USA, it had support only for the international W-CDMA (UMTS/HSDPA, a.k.a. 3G/3.5G) frequency (commonly referred to as UMTS-2100). Nonetheless, this phone was later made available for retail in the USA as well, through Nokia's flagship stores, online site, and 3rd party retailers. It had manual shutter lens protection (you would slide it open to start the camera), 64MB of runtime/dynamic memory (RAM), and a 900 mAh battery. Common complaints about this phone was that it would often run out of memory when several applications were open, and that the battery life was too short.

* The N95-2 (a.k.a. "N95 8GB", a.k.a. RM-320) increased the screen size from 2.6" to 2.8" (diagonal), increased RAM from 64MB to 128MB, increased the battery size from 900 mAh to 1200 mAh, removed the slider mechanism for opening the camera lens, replaced the µSDHC card slot with 8GB of internal flash, and replaced the silver faceplate with an all-black design. However, the bands supported were the same: W-CDMA 2100MHz, GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz - so although it will work fine with both AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile USA and Rogers, it does not support 3G/3.5G network speeds in North America. Nonetheless, as with the N95-1, Nokia has sold this phone in North America as well until just a few weeks ago; so possibly, this is the phone sold here (Unfortunately, Nokia's own sales channels do not normally make this distinction, and Amazon's product description is also somewhat lacking).

* The N95-3 (a.k.a. "N95 NAM", RM-160) is the first model targeted for North America. Most of the exterior design is similar to the N95-1 (Silver faceplate, 2.6" screen, µSDHC slot), but like the N95-2, it has 128MB of RAM, a 1200 mAh battery, and no manual slider for the camera shutter. The main reason for its existence is that it swapped the original UMTS-2100 (WCDMA) frequency for UMTS-850 and UMTS-1900, so that it would work with AT&T Wireless's 3G/3.5G network. Until just a few days/weeks ago, this would have been the "best" choice for US customers.

* The N95-4 (a.k.a. "N95 8GB NAM", RM-421) is identical to the N95-2, except that like the N95-3, it swaps UMTS-2100 for UMTS-850/1900. It was released just a couple of weeks ago, though, so if Amazon got their inventory of "n95 8gb" devices from Nokia prior to this, it would have been the N95-2 rather than the N95-4. (The exterior and labeling of both is the same). I bought my (unlocked) Nokia 1600 cell phone about five months ago. I had been looking for an efficient, basic and inexpensive cell phone that had to fit easily in my shirt's pocket. I use it with a prepaid minutes scheme in non-professional conditions. I did not feel any need for multimedia applications like built-in camera, MP3 player and the like. My simple needs were to be able to send and receive both vocal messages and SMS in a convenient way.

I have been using almost exclusively Nokia cell phones since 1998 as they operate in a very intuitive kind of way. As proof of this, the Nokia 1600 comes with a very simplified user's manual that experimented users can easily skip: once you buy it, you almost immediately get going.

I greatly appreciated the multilingual language support (mainly for English, French, Italian and Spanish.)

My experience with the Nokia 1600 is that it is quite ergonomic and features a superfine (and I mean: SUPERFINE) LI-Ion battery that goes on seemingly forever. This is a decisive advantage at this price point.

Hundreds of addresses can be stored (more than I'll ever need) and up to about 60 SMS can be stored.

Although colour was not a prerequisite, I enjoyed the standard colour display. Moreover, my tired eyes long for the large size fonts available.

The main drawback is tied to its ultra light weight (80,3 gr) as the unit's shell structure only ensures moderate durability if dropped repeatedly (although mine already survived quite a few stressful events!).

A minor drawback is that I really miss the "polite" Nokia ringing tone.

Sound quality and network sensibility deserve a solid 4-star rating. SMS use is good but not really outstanding and I would award this feature three stars.

I also dig the joint alarm clock and reminder options as my vintage memory cells keep worsening.

Another interesting feature of this model is the ability to lock the phone with a five-digit secret code, as I like to enjoy a little bit of privacy.

I should also add that I still own two other Nokia cell phones: an obsolete, but damn solid, Nokia 3410 (that I keep as an occasional back-up) and a very good, more upscale Nokia 6101, which I exclusively use for professional applications. Three years ago, I offered a still older Nokia 3210 to a friend of mine and it is still performing very well.

If all you will ever need from a cell phone is the possibility to conveniently make or receive contacts with other people, this inexpensive Nokia 1600 unit is the right choice for you!

The RAZR has a camera, a web-browser, Instant messaging capability, and a whole array of other features all of which are listed in the product description. To the extent that the RAZR does these things adequately I will offer little, if any, comment--mainly because I don't care about them. That to which I can and will attest is that the RAZR exceeds my expectation on how it serves AS A PHONE.

Using my own criteria, a wireless phone should draw and hold a signal; It's earpiece should deliver clear sound at a volume which can compete with background noise; it's mouthpiece should pick up the users voice clearly; it should be compact enough to allow for placement in clothing pockets without creating prominent bulges; it should be solidly built out of durable materials which are not prone to scratching; it should have decent battery life. And yes, anything for which I pay hundreds of dollars should be designed with aesthetics in mind: there are far too many wireless phones which look like disposable children's toys, or like awkward, all-purpose, button-riddled gadgets.

Using the above criteria, the RAZR V3, particularly the Black model, is close to perfect. The sound from the ear piece could certainly be louder, but I have yet to have a caller's voice drowned out by the noise of busy New York City streets. The people to whom I'm speaking have reported to have heard my voice loudly and clearly. Battery life could be longer, but then, the same could be said about many wireless phones which are bulkier and have larger batteries. I have used the phone on both T-Mobile and Cingular networks and found that it draws a strong signal on both; it has never dropped a call. I found the speaker phone to be loud and clear despite my expectations to the contrary. Is the much-lamented Motorola phone book program clunky? Yes it is. But the RAZR's voice-dialing works well, making it possible to avoid scrolling through the phone book if one hates it that much.

I'll try to boil it down with a somewhat clumsy analogy: Complaining that the RAZR doesn't do enough in the way of tech-gimmicks to justify its price (which is considerably lower that it was when it was introduced) is like complaining that an exotic sports car isn't worth the money because it doesn't have a cup holder, a GPS system, and DVD player like the Minivan you've been looking to buy. That ridiculousness ignores the engineering that makes the sports car a superior performer on the road, and the attention put toward making it sleek and aesthetically pleasing. The RAZR's performance has made concern over signal strength a thing of the past. and its design is unmatched--not just for it's ultra-compactness, but for the solidity of it's build. That makes it worth what I paid for it. And my inability to speak to the quality of other phones on the market put them out of consideration.

Besides, as they say, black is beautiful.

That the RAZR cannot serve as a business-card scanner doesn't trouble me. For those who need to have whichever feature-laden mobile gadget is most desired at the moment, buy a Samsung MM-A800, clip on you belt (you'll need to), and earn yourself the right to say your phone can do just about everything--poorly.

I'm from the United States and about two years ago I was searching YouTube right when the third season of the 'X-Factor' started to air, and that's when I discovered this beautiful girl's singing talents. Like the now defunct Pop Idol (in which ever popular American Idol was based off of), it is a search for the next great singing sensation or sensations. The real difference between the Idol format and this one is that groups are allowed to compete and each category of performers is given their own mentor. Simon Cowell happened to get her.

The point of explaining the details of the show is that over the course of many weeks, Leona grew from a shy, timid girl into a superstar that has taken over the world. She isn't something produced to be the latest craze. She's just a girl who got a lucky break for the world to see her talent.

As far as Bleeding Love goes, the song was originally for Jesse McCartney's album, but was given to Leona and changed to suit her range. The song (and her Album 'Spirit') will probably remind you of the early 90's sounding mid-tempo pop ballads. She has basically filled the void of the style of music the old Mariah Carey used to sing now that Ms. Carey has moved on to more of the new age R&B-Hip Hop fusion genre.

Bleeding Love is a pop ballad for the ages and Leona does the song incredible justice. Don't be fooled into not downloading this song just because a few people think she's just a passing music 'it' girl.

Remember that movie, "10 Things I Hate About You?" Well, neither do I, probably because I haven't seen it, but along with Sex and The City, Miley Cyrus is apparently a fan of that too. So naturally, such a topic must be converted to song form, but along the way, she lost 3 things, and gained 7 more. The first list is seemingly what the 10 things is, including the 7th thing she hates about her guy is how much she loves him. Who didn't see that coming? She still is a property of Disney after all.

Anyways, to make up for the 7 things she hates, she comes up with 7 things she loves about her lover. Ahhh... How sweet! Sarcastic maybe, but what did you expect. While it is good that she is doing something slightly original, it's not exactly in my realm, but I'm not a girl under 18. So her audience will of course love her and erect alters for her, and bow and worship at her feet. For the rest of us, it actually isn't that bad of a song. Actually, it's good. I wouldn't say pretty good, or great, but just good. Really people, she isn't inventing the wheel.

Overall, happy love pop that will sure to please every Miley fan that's still allowed to listen to her after Sheet-Gate. And as probably Miley's biggest hater, I can say that this song isn't half bad.

Obviously this song is geared towards getting peoples attention due to the subject matter. Isn't that the point of Pop music (as well as having a catchy tune, which I believe this song does)? I do agree that it seems to be trying too hard in some ways and not enough in others though. Katy herself seems to be trying (or being directed toward trying) too hard to be unique and hip for today, though the song itself is far from complex and revolutionary. However, like it or not, it's a catchy and fun song with a slightly different flavor that grabs people. But to each their own opinion.

Tegal is a regency in Central java Province . It is about 200 kilometres from Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. It is about seven hours by car to get to Tegal.
